Accountancy Fees
Our Fees – Clear, Fair and Transparent
At Dunelm, we believe that accountancy fees should be clear, fair and transparent. You should always know what our services will cost and what is included before we begin working with you.
Our fees and the basis on which they are calculated are agreed with you in advance and confirmed in writing as part of our engagement terms. Depending on the nature of the work, we will provide either a fixed fee or an estimate, based on the services required and the information available at the time.
We aim to avoid unexpected costs and will always keep you informed if your requirements change or additional work becomes necessary. Wherever reasonably possible, we will discuss any additional work and associated fees with you before proceeding.
Accounts and Tax Returns
For routine accounts preparation and tax return services, we will normally agree a fee in advance, taking into account the scope and complexity of the work involved.
Our quotation will clearly explain which services are included and identify any work that falls outside the agreed scope.
The agreed fee will only change if the work required changes, additional services are requested or circumstances arise that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the original fee was agreed.
If this happens, we will discuss the position with you and agree any additional work and fees wherever possible before proceeding.
Bookkeeping Services
Our bookkeeping services are generally charged at an agreed hourly rate, depending on the nature, volume and complexity of the work required.
Before work begins, we will discuss your bookkeeping requirements and explain the likely level of support and associated costs.
For ongoing bookkeeping services, we can also discuss an agreed recurring fee or alternative arrangement to suit your business and circumstances.
Payroll Services
Our payroll services are charged in accordance with our current fee structure and will depend on the number of employees and the level of service required.
We will explain the applicable charges before the service begins and keep you informed if changes to your payroll requirements affect the agreed fee.
Additional Services
As your business develops, you may need support beyond your usual accounts, tax, bookkeeping or payroll requirements.
Additional services may include:
-
Business plans
-
Cash flow forecasts
-
Management accounts
-
Budgeting and financial forecasting
-
Tax planning
-
Business start-up advice
-
Specialist accounting and tax services
Where additional work is required, we will agree the basis of our fees with you beforehand.
Depending on the nature of the work, this may be a fixed fee, an estimate or an hourly rate with an agreed upper limit.
Where work is undertaken on an hourly basis with a fee limit, we will contact you before exceeding the agreed limit to discuss the position and agree how you would like to proceed.
No Unexpected Surprises
We understand that unexpected professional fees can be a concern. That's why we believe in being open and straightforward about our charges from the outset.
Our aim is to make our fees as clear and predictable as possible. We will explain what our fees cover, discuss any significant changes to the work required and keep you informed if the expected cost needs to change.
If you would like to understand how a fee has been calculated, we are always happy to explain the basis of the charge and provide an appropriate breakdown.
